Many curriculum subjects are brought to life by educational trips, visits into school from experts and 'History off the Page' days. The school offers two residential trips; year five trip to Green Park and year six trip to the Isle of Wight.
French is taught to all year groups and a large number of children learn a musical instrument in school. We have a school choir, an orchestra and a flute choir. A music concert is held for parents each summer.
Sport is a big focus for the school and we offer a range of extra curriculum clubs through the academic year in football, hockey, netball, tag rugby, rounders, tennis, multi-sports, athletics, lacrosse, cricket and aerobics. The children also take part in local and District competitions.
Other clubs include chess, board games, French and writing. We are always seeking to add to this list with the support of our parents and community where we can.
Year six children have an oportunity to take on additional responsibilities such as junior play leader.
We are strengthening our relationship with the local secondary school and as a consequence are able to offer pupils access to a broader range of educational resources.
We have an on site early morning club and provision for after school care.
